Hogadon Ski Area prides itself on the limited lift lines, or in virtually non-existent as they say! With ski hills that can accommodate beginner and expert skiers alike, Hogadon is a popular mountain. Located only twenty minutes from Casper, this somewhat secretive mountain is definitely considered a hidden gem. The mountain is family friendly and affordable.

Get to know the mountain

Safety is very important at Hogadon Ski Area and it’s encouraged that skiers and snowboarders read the responsibility code before getting out on the hill. Making sure you know the rules of the hills, especially for beginners is of utmost importance. For skiers that don’t feel overly comfortable on the mountain, lessons are also available. Packages are available for learners who are looking to improve their skills. Packages include lessons, lift tickets and equipment rentals. Classes run every two hours and start at ten in the morning and go until one in the afternoon.

For more advanced skiers, race programs are available all season long as well. Get your child started in learning how to zoom down the mountain with programs that start for children as young as five. For kids with a little more experience, Hogadon has a fantastic racing program where they will learn; gate training, fundamental drill work, and racing elements.

Partnering Up

Hogadon has a partner program with other ski hills in the area to ensure you and your family have the most enjoyable time on whatever mountain or mountains you decide to take advantage of. With the purchase of a seasons pass at Hogadon, you can enjoy up to fifty percent off any of the ski hills as part of the partner program. Some hills even allow you up to three days of free skiing!

Rent and Save

For those travelling from a distance or for those who don’t own their own ski or snowboard equipment, Hogadon has fantastic rates for everyone. With half and full day rentals you can choose the package that suits you the best. Children under the age of twelve save more with packages as well. One thing to remember when renting equipment or getting out for a day on the slopes is safety. It’s very important to have a helmet when riding on the hills. No matter what your skill level, there is always a risk factor when getting out on the hill without proper protection. The best ski racers in the world, who ski as a profession will always wear helmets because they know that conditions can change at any moment. Ski safe!
